Twine Wrapped Wreath

{plus a bit of cuteness}

I made this wreath so it would last from Spring through Summer! It was really easy to do and cost very little thanks to JoAnn Fabrics coupons. Here are the supplies I used:

Green Wreath Form

Twine

Ribbon

Wood Letter Cutout

Felt

Hot Glue

Paint

First, I painted the letter so it could have some drying time while I was making the rest of the wreath. A helpful hint * Pick out your ribbon first, then choose your colors you want to use based on that. I used a green apple color. Cute for Spring and matched the ribbon I picked out! Next, start wrapping your wreath form with the twine. To begin, hot glue the twine to the wreath and let it dry for a few minutes before you start tugging on it. This part is a bit tedious, but if you have a good show or movie to watch, it's no biggie. This took me about an hour to do. Here it is all wrapped! Next are the flowers. I used two pieces of felt squares for this part. Cut out circles in three different sizes, two of each size. Now, take your circle and cut a spiral into it. To start the flower, take the tip on the end of the spiral and start rolling it. Eventually, you'll get something that looks like a rosette. Make sure when you're cutting the spiral to leave a circular area in the middle. When you're done rolling your rosette, you'll want this circle part for glue. It helps to keep the flower together and is helpful for gluing to the wreath. A bit of hot glue on the felt.

*Sometimes blogging and trying to get pictures of the project is actually harder than making the project!

See how the circular part once glued down creates a good base for the flower. Cute! I forgot to take pictures of this part, but I sanded the edges of the "J" a bit and dry painted a tiny bit of brown paint over the green. Just the tiny details that matter to me. But you could totally skip this part. Then, hot glued it to my wreath. Next, I picked out where I wanted my flowers to go and started gluing those on too! Finally, some cute ribbon to make a bow to finish off the wreath. Here it is all finished! I love it. The ribbon is my favorite. We can enjoy it all through Spring and Summer!
