Broken
This is not my camera, rather a picture of what my camera looks like.  I'm very sad to say that I accidentally left my camera on top of my car yesterday.  My husband returned from the grocery store to show me what he had found in our driveway.  A broken camera.
So, I'll have to take a small break from blogging.  Maybe this will give me some time to get my creative juices flowing again.  I'll still be following along with all my favorite bloggers, but till then I hope you'll stick around with me.

Slime Time
 What to do with two busy little boys on a rainy day?!  Make some slime.
You can see the recipe that I used {HERE}
 This was so easy to make.  My boys had no idea what they were making at first.
 They were the best little helpers!
 Better yet, it kept their attention for almost 2 hours.  You've gotta love that on a boring, rainy day.
 When it was completely mixed together, the look on their faces was priceless.
 They kind of looked at me like, "can we really touch this stuff?"
 They loved it!  We might be doing this again very soon as it's been rainy and cold lately.  Hope you'll give it a try for any busy kids you have in your life.

 Luck
  A few weeks ago I found a stack of green books at a local thrift store.  I had this exact idea in mind for Valentines Day, however I never got around to it.  Because I don't have a ton of St. Patrick's Day Decor(YEP! I'm Irish) I figured this would be perfect and better yet, cheap!
All I did was cut out the word L U C K from a piece of paper.
 Traced one letter per book.
 Painted them in....
 and that's it! An easy, cute St. Patrick's Day decoration.
Hope you find the Luck of the Irish on Saturday!

Free & Easy
St. Patty's Day Decor
 I'll keep this short and simple for you!  I'm sure everyone knows how to put something in a frame, so this will be a quick tutorial.  Ready?
$1 Shamrock Cutouts from JoAnn Fabrics
 A piece of scrapbook paper
 (I chose a wood grain paper from this Green Stack also from JoAnns that I already had on hand)
 An empty 11x14 frame with an 8x10 mat.
 Use double stick tape and attach the shamrocks to the paper.
 Voila!
It can't get much easier than that!
Hopefully by Friday, I'll have one more St. Patrick's Day project for you.

Jaxon & Easton's Bedroom Makeover
{Part 2}
 Ready for an overload of pictures?  Here is the rest of the bedroom makeover.  Here is a shot of the main part of the room before....
 and here is the after!
Light, bright and all boy.
 They are so into superheroes right now, so the inspiration for this room was Superman and Batman.  Their all-time favorite heroes.
 Here is a before shot of the area where we keep their dresser and the old, very big TV.
Here it is after.  Thanks to Pinterest, we found an idea to organize the many papers and printouts they previously wanted to tack into their walls.  You can see the inspiration for it {HERE}
Basically, it's a very large oil drip pan that can be found in the automotive department at Walmart.  We screwed it into the wall, bought a pack of 30 regular magnets and now they're free to hang up whatever they'd like.
Here is a before picture of a corner of the room that leads into a 1/4 bathroom.  Empty and boring before....
 Bright, happy and entertaining after!  We brought their bookcase out of the closet and placed a new TV and DVD player on it so they can enjoy all their Superhero movies.  The large J & E came from JoAnn Fabrics.  They are made of cardboard and spray painted black.
We had two frames on hand and found a Superman and Batman comic book at a local movie store for a $1 a book.  We cut out a few pages that could be framed for some artwork and it was as easy as that.  Frugal too!
 Jaxon likes to keep his Mario figurine from Auntie Darcy right by the TV to watch over them at night.  So cute!
What's better to any Mom than a nice organized closet.  There was nothing new bought here.  Just a little rearranging and cleaning.
 This is the door to go in an out of the room!  In this corner is their basketball hoop, a Washington State Cougar pillow(Go Cougs) on the floor for reading books or just kicking back and a measurement chart that I made way back in June of last year.  It's about time I show it to you!
The measurement chart was and idea that I got from Angie at The Cellar Door Stories.  If you'd like to see the inspiration for mine, you can visit her tutorial {HERE}
 This was an absolutely FREE painting I did on an old fence board.  I wanted to find pictures of Batman and Superman, but everything cost so much money.  So, I created something that both of my boys loved and gave it a little bit of a vintage look by sanding it down.
I will do a separate post on it later this week.  Good thing I actually remembered to take pictures.
Here is Mr. Jaxon's bed.  This is his Teddy Bear Bob.  He's had him since he was a few months old.
The lower level bed(trundle) is Easton's!  He loves George and his Panda Pillow Pet.
We made one of the beds a trundle by putting caster wheels on the base of the plywood that holds up the bed.  We also found this idea via Pinterest.  You can see where the inspiration came from {HERE}
It gives the boys so much more room.  At night we can pull the bed out and during the day we can easily slip it back under the bed so they have plenty of room to play.  I am so greatful for a handy husband to help me follow through with all these ideas of mine.
I am so glad we finally finished this room for the boys.  It went from dark and dingy to light and playful.  Better yet, our boys love it.

Jaxon & Easton's Bedroom Makeover
{Part 1}
 If you haven't been introduced to my boys yet, here they are.  Easton is on the left and Jaxon is on the right.  I love these little boys so much.
We decided to do a bedroom makeover for them because their room was pretty much the dark hole of the house.  I'm sure everyone has one of those!  An area of your home that just needs to be lightened up.  Their room needed it really bad.
Our home is a rental, so about the only things we could do is paint and accessorize.  That equals FUN to me!
I'm going to share this bedroom makeover with you in two parts.  I don't want to overload you with too many photos at a time.
 Here is how the room started.  White and Purple...YUK!  It wasn't even a good purple that we could work with.  It was a mauve color.  Not fit for two little boys.  It really made the room dark and uninviting.  They never wanted to be in there.
Don't you just love the old mattresses?! Yikes!
 Let me tell you also how small this space is.  We had two beds set up in there, and  there was literally 2 feet of walking room between the beds and that's it.  We got creative(thanks Pinterest) and did a little bed makeover as well.  I'll share that with you in part two of the makeover.
 Here is a shot of a small closet and a horribly large TV that was just too big for this space.
Jaxon and Easton both gave their input on what color they wanted the room to be.  Lets just say, it would have made the room even more of a hole in the house.  One of the suggestions was black. Ha ha.
Here was the compromise.  Copen Blue by Sherwin Williams.  A nice, light and neutral color for a boys room.
 Here are some pictures of the painting in progress!  So much brighter and lighter already.  I love this color.
Another shot of the other side of the room.
Finally, can you guess what kind of room they wanted?!
Can't wait to share the finished room with you.  Stay tuned.

Getting Healthy
{Source}
Today marked two months since my husband and I started our body makeovers.  I'm down a total of 25 lbs. and my husband is down 30 lbs.  We still have a long way to go, but we're getting there! We've been doing the photos of ourselves to we can track our transformations.  I will be sharing those as we get closer to our goals. It will be several more months, but I can't wait to show you the progress.
Happy Weekend Everyone!

Spring Fever
 Is anyone else getting Spring fever?  I am!  Really bad.  I want it to hurry up and be warm already.  Since I can't start planting flowers outside yet, I thought our house could use a little green.
I'm not really a fan of houseplants, but I do love the look of succulents.  They just have so many layers of texture.  So, I picked out three different kinds.  Aren't they cute?!
 I started to go directly for the green and blue planters, but stopped myself.  I need to push myself out of my comfort zone.  So, I chose this coral colored planter instead.  It picks up some of the color in one of the succulents so well.
 I needed a whole bag of the cactus soil, but it can be mixed with regular potting soil when we're ready to start doing outdoor plants.  Plus, it was only $4.  Not too bad.
 Aren't the colors of this succulent so pretty.  It has a soft, silvery hue.  I love it.  By the way, as I was potting these it was snowing outside.  Ugghh!
 I placed it behind the love seat in the living room next to a clock in a West-facing window.  It gets tons of bright light and brightens up this space so nicely!
 It amazes me how something as simple as a plant can perk up an area of your home.
 And, I am so glad I stepped out of the box and added a totally different color into the mix of decor.
I can feel it!  Spring will be here soon.
