Forced Spring

I have to admit, Spring is just not my favorite season. Living in the state of Washington, Spring means rain and lots of it. After a few months of Winter, the last thing you want is more rain, wind and cold weather. However, there are a few positives to the Spring months.

Such as:

My Birthday, Easter, Baseball, and the best of all...Flowers!

When we were back in Western Washington, my Uncle Greg(who owns the Old Goat Farm) gave me some branches from his trees to force bloom! The flowering plum will always remind me of home. I just love the beautiful pink blossoms. Here are some before and after pictures of the branches I have forced to bloom.

{BEFORE}

{AFTER} {BEFORE} {AFTER} Here are a few photos I took while visiting the Old Goat Farm this past weekend. Spring flowers are just so pretty.
These cute little white ones planted in Terra Cotta pots.
Boxwood becoming topiaries. I just love the moss on these pots.
Check out these mini Iris flowers. Aren't they so cute?!
And last but not least, one of my favorites....Daffodils. I just love the bright yellow.

What are your favorite things about Spring?

  1. Those branches are gorgeous! I decorate sometimes with broken off branches that I see on the side of the road. I love the natural look of it.
